Nodding Off - 2024

This experimental video is a recording of a live, randomized performance that is never replicable. I filmed in downtown Asheville on a camcorder and then programmed effects in Max 8 Cycling ‘74, which were mapped to a keybind, where every time I pressed it, it would then be randomized between these 4 effects. I then got a song and created an audio-responsive patternizer that I set to color and shape that randomly generated based on the frequency of the song, which I then ended up compositing over the footage.
